Does the job for the price

I purchase this spoon rest because I needed a couple more dollars for free shipping and because I actually needed a spoon rest. It does everything it is designed to do. It is a little ugly with the iris things on it, but if flowers are your thing then you should have no problem with that. We have knocked it around and no scratches, it sits very close to the flame on our small stove and has no signs of melting. It stays clean, keeps our stove clean, and for the price can't be beat. If you need a spoon rest that is durable and don't mind flowers, you should be comfortable buying this one.

Colors of iris do not match shadow iris plates

I wasn't expecting much for $3, but I did expect the irises to be the same color as the irises in the shadow iris dish set and they are NOT!!!
How does that happen? That is not sophisticated nor elegant as stated.
Well, you buy cheap you get cheap, I guess.

Deep and Unwieldy...

It does its job, but I didn't realize how deep this thing was. I'm worried that one of our cats is going to land on it and catapult the spoon across the room. If you're looking for a shallow spoon rest, it's not the way to go. It also won't work for large spatulas, as it's way too small.
