Product Description

The Tikka 2 offers great versatility with its three lighting modes (maximum, economic and flashing) which are accessed by a simple electronic push-button switch. In maximum mode, the four LEDs deliver 40 lumens of light and provide enough light to see over a distance of 29 meters. The economic mode optimizes battery life and therefore provides a long burn-time of up to 120 hours. The battery compartment is now hinged for easier access along with an easier to use closure system. Compatible with lithium batteries. 3AAA alkaline batteries included.

About Petzl: Innovative Designs, Practical Approach
Petzl, a family company, was born out of Fernand Petzl's passion for caving. One of the leading experts of his generation, Fernand spent his life experimenting with vertical progression techniques, and he invented equipment that radically changed the status quo. The Petzl company applied these underground tools and solutions to other vertical environments: first to the mountains--rock climbing and mountaineering--and then to the professional sector, with work and rescue at-height. The Petzl company quickly became known as the foremost innovator in the vertical world and has been associated with all major underground, alpine, and Himalayan adventures since the 1970s.

Today, Petzl is the leader of hands-free lighting. Petzl revolutionized the industry starting with the Zoom, and then the Tikka--the first compact light. The company moved forward to introduce the state-of-the-art e+Lite and Ultra, and it continues to work with outdoor sports enthusiasts and professionals to create innovative, practical, high-quality lighting and climbing products.

    5Good, no frills headlamp
    By Tbone
This is a good little product. The headlamp angle can be adjusted, so that it points straight ahead, or down at an angle. The light is bright and the headband is adjustable. It folds up very small and is very lightweight. I have it in my camera bag, but it can fit into a pocket. It opens easily and runs on 3 AAA batteries, which came with the headband. I think it is great for those times when you can't carry a flashlight in your hand and you need just a little quality light on the subject, but it would never replace a professional grade headlamp.

    5Just right for running
    By G Has Smart Reviews
I was unsure what headlamp to purchase and went to the Petzl website to see what they recommended, and this was the result. The strap is easy to adjust, the light is bright, and it works great for running. I usually wear a hat when I run, so the ability to rotate the light downward (3 settings) is a must-have that I had not considered before purchasing.

    5I can see!
    By K. Beasley
This headlamp has been a great addition to our tool arsenal. We use it in the attic, under the sink, walking the dog. The useful high beam, low beam and flashing options have all come in handy. We waited WAY too long to get this item. Well worth the money!
